Embassy of Japan began offering scholarships Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho) is designed for teachers in the academic year 2010/2011. Scholarship closed on January 2010.
Non Degree teacher upgrading program will last for 1.5 years starting in October 2010, including six months studying Japanese language. The main requirement, applicants must be aged under 35 years old and a graduate teacher Strata-1 or Diploma level 4 in Primary Education, Secondary School, High School or equivalent, both from public and private schools. The applicant has taught more than five years in formal education institutions on April 1, 2010.
For this scholarship, all areas of instruction offered except for the Indonesian Language, Region, Arabic, Religious Education, and Hospitality. In addition, applicants must be willing to learn Japanese language because the language of instruction at the university is Japanese.
Teacher Training Scholarship Program is not accompanied by the bond agency. Scholarship includes a ticket economy class to go from Jakarta to Japan, the entrance examination fee, tuition fee, registration fee, and provided that payment shall be dormitory by the recipients. In addition, scholarship recipients also receive a monthly allowance of 170,000 yen per month and it would be possible to change at any time.
